------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please arrive by 4:30 for the meeting. Both the meeting and the potluck are open to the public. Please bring your table setting and food to share, if you can.
At the February 7, 2010, meeting of the Coordinating Committee were Marshall Mittnick, note taker and facilitator, and Norma Littlefield, Paul Eagle, Andrew Watkins, Carolyn Pressley, and Miriam Watkins.
Minutes from the November meeting were read and approved. (December and January were not regular meeting months, for a change.)
Treasurer's Report showed WCCE current total balance as
$1177.71, with $17.26 in petty cash and $1155.45 as the credit union
available balance.
The credit union establishes $5. as the
non-available membership fee.
Paul has donated full or partial hosting of the website and email for the last few years. It was agreed to pay Paul for the work of hosting the WCCE (Waldo Exchange) website for the next year, his standard rate: $60 and domain name registration for the next year: $11.
The desktop publishing of WCCE materials and updates to the website will be paid to Paul in Hours.
It was agreed to create a public bulletin board space
at the Belfast Center for Waldo Exchange. A new, short service
request/membership form is to be created
by Paul for use in this new way. The application/membership form was
discussed in light of ease of use. Revisions of forms are ongoing.
Norma, Carolyn, Paul,
and Marshall agreed to go to the Belfast Center to set up the bulletin board on Friday, February 12.
A recommendation from a community member is to reach
out to high school students. Jane Yudelman pointed to the opportunity
for students to perhaps offer manual labor, computer lessons, and Waldo Exchange members might
offer students driving lessons, job interview skills, cooking lessons.
In Marshall's
talk with her also was the idea to meet with career counselors or to
have an informal meeting with students to ask, "What do you want?"
